Nice truck there Traveling Dog. At 57 you have at least 2-3 more truck purchases. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here's a pic of our "new" 2017. Just bought it in June with only 33,000+ miles on it. It was a lease return and is like new.
We've only taken 1 trip so far towing our 25' trailer and it tows like a dream.
Compared to my old '97 1500 gas pick-up I can barely tell the trailer is there, doesn't matter if we're going uphill the truck maintains 65mph even in 5th gear OD.
The 6.7 CTD Ram 4x4 will probably be the last truck I will ever have to buy since we are retired I'm 57 now.
The wife and I plan to do a lot of traveling with this combo.

Just say no to the payload police :C

Here's my 2011 Chevy 2500HD in front of Butch Cassidy's childhood home this morning.
I'm quite pleased with just how well it handles this camper considering the truck and suspension is bone stock with zero upgrades.

It just tuned over 200,000 moles this morning.
The only repairs that have ever been done to my truck, other than normal maintenance has been 5 headlight bulbs, one license plate light bulb and a fuel pump at 180,000 miles.
It still has the factory brake pads with a lot of miles left on them to go.

Sounds like you have a great truck....

You have 4.10's we have 3.73, and your payload is 5,704 ours is 5,411 does yours have the 5th wheel prep puck system.

No for some reason it didn't have that, but that's okay, I wasn't going to walk away from this truck because of that.
I wanted 4;10s and I wanted that Paoad.
Is your truck also the Laramie?
I sure love this truck.

Both trucks looks great... why did you buy the new one? Age or mileage of old one?

Primarily because of the comfort and features that comes with a truck that's 15 years newer. The F350 has relatively low mileage, has all the power we need, and doesn't require any maintenance. For comfort, it has power seats and windows, AC and a stereo. I haven't spent a dime on repairs since I've owned it - only required maintenance and two upgrades last year: big brakes one all four corners and a new stereo with a large screen and CarPlay. We towed our 5th wheel to and from Colorado last year and had a great time, just like every trip we taken in this truck. Monarch Pass was a piece of cake, even during last year's heat wave. My wife love's the truck and when needed, uses it.

But I can't make it as comfortable as any new truck on the market. It could argued that I could, and I thought about it. If I spent 30k on upgrading it (a lot of custom stuff), it would still be a 15 year old truck that would be worth no more than the typical old F350.

So, I ordered a new one. 10-15 years from now, I'll consider buying a new one again.
The dodge fan boys hate the dodge/ram dealerships. Now that I have owned a Mexican Fiat Oui-Oui, I understand why.
