Planning a trip for next year. Any recommendations for a nice camp ground on the coast? Prefer close to the ocean. We have a 24' travel trailer and 2 dogs.
Thank you!

You may want to look at Cape Kiwanda RV Park in Pacific City. The so-so Rv park is not on the beach but just across the road from a very busy beach boasting Dory launching, tide pools, and a giant sand dune for climbing. Before Covid, you could drive on the beach. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

If you want solitude, there is an empty beach on the other side of the cape that you can also drive on.

A few years ago, we stayed at Cannon Beach RV Resort. It's not right on the coast, but a few short blocks away. The beach is beautiful...and dog-friendly. So many nearby places to visit--lighthouses, Tillamook, and Mo's Restaurant with great clam chowder.

As previously stated the sites listed at Beachside are awesome but even with early bookings are hard to get because of their popularity.
Get the Oregon Coast Mile by Mile book and check out the areas that you might be most interested in. The Oregon state park reservation system works well and you can see actual pictures and descriptions of most sites at any particular park. We have been to the Oregon coast 3 different times and if you would like some more particular info please feel free to PM me.

We were in Oregon in June 19. Bullards Beach State Park across the river from Bandon was nice. We also stayed at Sea & Sand RV Park a private park which was nice also, it's north of Depoe Bay. The next place on the ocean was Cape Disappointment in Washinton just over the Columbia River

Oregon Parks has some wonderful close to Ocean Campgrounds; Honeyman, Beverly Beach, Fort Stevens just to name a few we like.

If you want something right on the beach and prepared to pay more then check out Sea Perch RV Resort
