Underbelly insulation

This might be silly post but have to ask anyway.

Is the underbelly insulation on Travel trailers and toy haulers in California necessary?

This insulation only creates
Molds for moisture over the years and if there's water valve open when you turn on the shoreline water or the water pump which is likely to happen once or twice over the lifespan of a trailer.

And besides it's not that cold in California especially in Southern California where
Camping is all season long.

Yes, that is coroplast.

I have had my rig for over 10 years camping in all weather conditions here in Ontario Canada including LOTS of wet winter driving and when I cracked open the belly of my KZ to install heat pads and heat trace it was as dry as a bone.

Can't imagine California being wetter than here so I would hazard to guess unless you had a big rip in the coroplast it'll be as dry as a bone under yours as well.

Guess you have never been camping in the high desert of So. Cal. during winter months.

And what valves are you leaving open putting water into the underbelly area?

Fresh water tank drain and overflow......should stick thru/below underbelly
Hot/Cold Low point drains.....should stick thru/below underbelly
