Just curious as to their applications for rv's?
Would they be safe and maybe one of those items that could be added to the "must haves"? And do they work as well as advertised?
Thanks

I love the way that aluminum boat sprays sparks when the adman cuts it in half!

Ya think?
But wait.........thereโ€™s more! Order now and receive....... for only the cost of shipping and handling!
My advice is watch less infomercials!

For tape applications Eternabond only

For horizontal level applications Dicor self leveling sealant only

I do not ever want to have to think if the product installed is going to work or not or even worse discovering it did not work!

These two products are proven to do the job

On the roof, yes.

I have used Flex Seal spray and also the Rustoluem Leak Seal spray on the bottom of the camper in some places. I just repaired another section of rotten floor, this time due to a leaky slide seal. It's common for the RV mfrs to wrap exposed framing in Darco, which is a waterproof woven fiberglas fabric, kind of like tarp material. The problem is if water gets behind the Darco, it gets trapped and rots the wood even faster.

I've found that spraying the exposed wood with a rubber coating is better because water can't get behind it like a covering and rot the wood out.

Here is a piece of wood under the slide corner:

I have used fles seal spray for two jobs
One was insulating some wires. Did right good
one was fixing a damaged windshield washer bottle on my car. Again did good

Not much I'd use it for where the sun shines (does not like UV light)
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

I wasted my money on flex seal trying to seal a leak between two seams.
The very next rain storm the seam leaked as bad as before I used it.

no. Like a lot of TV products, it's a good idea, but poorly made.

I've used flex seal and flex tape om my last camper and now on our new camper. If the area it is used on is cleaned properly it holds real well. Never had any problem with it.

With so many excellent products that are RV specific, not to mention tried and true, I see no reason to experiment with non-RV products. Better to do the job correctly one time, and be happy.

I have a roll of tape that my kid got me as a gag gift. Iโ€™ve used it and it works. My keyboard foot broke off and I used little strips to make a new 3/4 inch tall foot. Not sure Iโ€™d use it on the bottom of a screen door boat like that fool on TV. It seems similar to Eternabond tape, but I carry that too and would pick it over the flex-seal tape most every time.

I actually tried the Flex Seal on a leaky seam on a home gutter. Did not work worth a hoot. I tried several layers and it never did stop the leak. More good marketing than good product. I figured the "As seen on TV" product was going to be a disappointment, and I wasn't surprised.
