Back in the Game!

After an approx. 7 year absence from RVing, my wife and I are proud owners of a (new to us) travel trailer ("Couples Camper"). Before that we had 5 different 5th wheels over the course of about 25 years. So we are not ignorant to the lifestyle, just out of practice and trying to catch up. We are AMAZED at how much has changed in the industry since the kids grew up and we got away from camping. We have always loved RVing, in fact we raised our family RVing every summer. Long trips, short trips and everything in between! We have considered getting back in but always talked ourselves out of it until our oldest son and his family recently bought their first RV! Just shows you those childhood memories, traveling & camping had a big impression on him! We are very excited about the potential of traveling and meeting up with them (especially the grand baby- Shhhhh don't tell!)
Anyway- one of the very first things Ive discovered (sadly) is it looks like the old Trailer Life Campground Directory does not exist anymore. I LOVED USING THAT THING! This is my first question to all of you old timers out there- is there a product (available in print) that replaced it? Does it still exist under a different name? What are current day RVers using to plan their trips, find campgrounds etc?
Please advise! Thank You-looking forward to catching up with things in the RV world!
ttfn,
Carpy

It's put out by Good Sam now. You can get it at Camping World or on Amazon. I still use it for planning stops, not as much as I used to, but I feel it still has its place.

Welcome home. We stayed away nearly six years. Got to talking one day about the places we had visited and a couple of S Dakota summers in the Black Hills. One thing led to another and we were searching for a Handicap accessible MH. I guess neither of us were finished traveling.
Hope you both are able to do it as long as you want to. We have a wonderful country and hope you get to see it all. God Bless

Check out rvparky.com excellent source for locating campgrounds in the areas you plan to visit or for stops along the way.
