Fort Pickens

We are hoping to camp at Fort Pickens campground end of Sept/early Oct. We have a small pop-up camper. Looking for suggestions as to which loop or campsite would be best for us...not too far from restrooms, some shade. Are there any sites that are close to either the beach or the bay for launching kayaks?

We clearly prefer Loop A which is a much smaller campground (and therefore often harder to get into). I would not say that any of the sites in any of the loop are close enough to the gulf or the sound to directly launch kayaks, but there are places to where you can drive and park that are close enough.

Just down by the fishing pier at the end of the island is the best place to watch the Blue Angels. But there are many other places where it is possible.
