Trying again with photos

We recently took delivery of our motorhome. One of my tasks has been to identify to what equipment the miscellaneous parts left for us belong. I am stumped on the item in the attached photos. I looked through all the manuals provided but have not been able to determine to what this item belongs. My first thought was to the clothes washer or generator but I could not find evidence that it belongs to one of those pieces of equipment. Any ideas?

Thanks so much for solving this mystery! Now I will have to check to see if one is already installed and this is a spare or if it is missing from the air filter housing. My money is on that the techs at the dealership had no idea what it is so it when in the box of unused/spare parts.

I have an '07 HR Admiral on the Ford chassis. The "mystery object" goes on the engine air filter housing. See below.

Yes you do not use that ICON with the link I posted. They include the proper HTML coding in the link they give you to paste.

That looks like a strainer often used on washer (Washing machines) discharge hoses to prevent cloging a drain. It traps lint. If you ahve a washer I'd look in the manual for that.. I've seen them but rarly

Could be a cover or strainer for most anything.

Itโ€™s only 3-1/2 inches in diameter, so it would not be for storing cords or hoses. The black band is elastic so I think it slides onto a tube, but to what is the mystery.
