Rancho 9000 shocks adjustment.

My Rancho 9000 Shocks adjust from 1 to 9 but I am not sure which way to turn the knob to increase or decrease. Anyone know offhand?

I don't try to remember which way is which. The easy way to tell is to turn the knob a couple clicks each way and compare how if feels to turn the knob. Stiffer setting = harder to turn. Softer setting = easier to turn.

While you are at it I would take them apart if you haven't already and grease the adjustment knob.

A little white paint on the knob indicator goes a long ways in seeing where its at.

What cooldavidt said. I'll add I ran 6F, 9R loaded, and 3F, 1R unloaded on my SRW.

Clockwise makes them stiffer (higher number = stiffer)

9 is highest
It clicks for each number
Turn clockwise all the way to reach 9
If you want 5, the normal setting click counterclockwise 4 clicks
etc

Pain in the rear. They are numbered if you crawl under your truck, use a magnafine glass and have lots of light. Solid shocks otherwise.
