Old B&W 5th wheel hitch and new GMC

I have a standard B&W patriot 18k 5th wheel hitch and just bought a new GMC with the factory gooseneck 5vr prep installed. Has anyone convertered their old hitch or found a means of using the old style hitch with their new setup?

Appreciate any input..

I found out that you have to buy the whole setup, you can't use the base. I just put rails in my new truck and used my 3 year old BW hitch.

You can buy the base only and then use your hitch head. I was in your situation with my 18K Companion I had in my 11 RAM Dually. I decided it was better to sell the 18K for $500 on CL the first day then put that $ towards my RVK3600 puck hitch. Much better to have the puck system.
