We have been living in our camper for the last 18 months while our house has been being built.

I just recently turned on the AC and it just hummed. I called a friend of mine who works on RVs and he walked me through taking the faceplate off.

I reached up and the fan was locked in place. I pushed and it broke free. I turned on the fan and it ran freely but there is a loud noise, which I believe may be from the vibration of the fan.

The AC works and blows cold.

I tried spraying WD 40 on the bar that is connected to the fan, thinking it may need some lubrication.

Didn't work.

When it ran normally it was a very quiet him. It sounds as if I am in a boiler room.

Any idea as to what the issue is and how to resolve it.

The AC unit is a Coleman Mach.

Thanks,

Yep, my bet would be mud dauber nest on an outside fan blade.

My suggestion is to go up on top remove the shroud and remove the foreign objects that stuck in the fan blade. Might even be mud Dobbers. No big deal to go up and clean it out.
