Ford tow guide 2015 and Super Duty @33,000 GCVWR

Here is the place to look up the tow guides.

If you click on 2015, you can see the ratings for the new 2015 Transit Van, as well as other Ford vehicles. Final guide will be published in September 2014 with all the rating on all vehicles.

The F-650 is rated at 33,000 GCVWR with a gas engine! That would make a great toy hauler motorhome chassis.

Ford will be offering 1.5 and 1.6 Liter Ecoboost engines. The Explorer will come with 2L and 3.5L Ecoboost engines, along with the standard 3.7L gas model.

The diesel F-350 is rated at a maximum 35,000 GCVWR, while the F-450 pickup with 4X4 and diesel engine is rated at 40,000 GCVWR with the right packages. WOW!

I don't care about their test I will take a Cummins motor over the other two any day. That is me and my opinion though!

No question the ford with the lower rear gear would win that race. Never is an equal test and with the chev at 3.73 which I really like for our truck same story. I would not get my chest pumped up for either brands winning a fixed contest. fun to watch only. Hard to not like any new trucks.

Perhaps that's why Ford is the best selling truck in Texas!

It would wise to compare the F 650 with the V10, with the Mack, Hino, International and Kenworth have on offer with their MDT line.

It may mean considering a diesel, but there are a fair number of options for MDT, at that level.

I'm too lazy to look up to see if the Ram and Chevy offer different gear ratios than "tested", but with a 4.30 rear vs. 4.10 rear and 4.30 vs a 3.73, it would have been embarrassing if those "races" were any closer.
