dually simulated wheel covers with air max

does anyone have any experience with the simulated wheel covers for the dually steel wheels. the ones with the AIR MAX(spelling) valve extensions. has the short valve hose extended to the outside so you can check/add air from the outside for both inner and outer wheels?

are they reliable? do they throw wheel balance out of kilter?

I can't say about these particular valve extensions, but I have had 3 different sets and they all leaked sooner or later. I gave up on them and bought the correct angle pressure gauge and it works fine.
