Does anyone have regrets buying a Dodge Fiat Ram 3500 2500 Cummings with the Asin Transmission?

I am not a troll. Hell I don't even know what a troll is. So what,I miss spelt Cummins, get over it. However, I did like the porn star comment. I just asked a simple question. I am researching my retirement truck and I am impressed with the 3500 srw truck that I test drove. For those who sincerely answered the question, thank you.

Have seen an increase in Ram trucks on the road. Don't think you'll go wrong. We all love to pick on each other for their choice of trucks, but they all have their pluses and minuses. Like AP said tho, be sure to get factory 5th wheel as you won't have to contend w/ rails on floor of bed. If pulling a heavy load, any of the 3 diesels will work effortlessly to "Git R Done".

Be advised there is no Fiat in that truck. PERIOD! And we who design, engineer, and build them resent those who think otherwise....

Love my Ram 2500 CTD. No regrets, other than wish I would have gotten it sooner.

But, the 2500 doesn't come with the AISIN transmission.

I live in N VA the home of the correct police. mispellinnnnng is not a Crime here. No, I quit Chrysler products after they sold us a Mercedes ML 320 and it Fell apart. 1st mo, paint chipped off the hood. They blamed it on my wife driving on dirt roads, she had commuted to worked and back a distance of 23 mi ea way. the rubber melted on the sunroof, windows and windshield, they blamed it on her leaving it in the hot Va Sun, it had been garaged here and at work. The engine blew up at 70K and it had teflon liners. They said they didn't do a recall but fixed any that blew up so we sold it. never again. I have a 2006 Chevy 2500 and the paint looks new.

I :C LOVE :C my '14 Ram 2500. The crew cab is massive and the long bed eliminates the need for slider hitches. Oh, and I installed the RAM 5th wheel prep kit.....FANTASTIC!!! Inserting or removing the hitch is a snap. The 5-link rear coil suspension rides exceptionally smooth for an HD truck. My 5er has about 2500lbs pin weight (maybe more, haven't used the scales yet) and the coil springs compress very little and handle the load perfectly.

The 6.7L Cummins has all the power and torque I need. The 68RFE does pretty well, although I would prefer the shift points behave a little better under heavy loads. But, when towing in the Appalachian mountains this summer the tranny temps held perfect even when hitting some really steep sections.

Okay, so I sound like a total fan boy. Maybe I am. I had an '04 Chevy with 6.0L gas that I used for 10 years. It did the job okay but RAM is just heads and shoulders above the old truck.

If you go with the RAM, and this is your retirement truck, get the 5th wheel and gooseneck prep packages installed as factory options. It's not difficult to install on your own, but the option cost for them is just about the same as the price you pay for the kits.

Nobody owns a Cummings or an Asin transmission. You also misspelled misspelled.

This poster isn't asking again, he's thanking those who did. I don't think he knows how to reply to his own post. This will be closed just like yesterday.

While I dont have a Ram, I do have a Dodge Ram. Love it. Stomp on the skinny pedal on the right side and I can pass 90 before you can say slow down. This thing has gobs of power. 20% fewer moving parts is one factor. Pulls my 13,500 pound fiver with ease. But like everything, those that have them love them. Those that have another brand will tell you the same thing. What you really need to do is go spend an hour with each brand. Crawl all over them. Check fit/finish very closely. Drive them, and I dont mean the 5 minute test drive route the salesman wants you on, but find some rough road. Check them out. It is your money afterall, so pick what you like the best,,not what a bunch of strangers tell you is best.
