Dmax Suburban for sale - $60k

Why GM did not add the Dmax to the 2500 Suburban is beyond me. But if you are wanting one, Nick Priegnitz over at Duramaxtuner.com is selling his for $60k. Did I mention it makes over 1,000 hp on its highest level 5 tune and is capable of running high 10's..... (you can back it down to less hp with the twist of a switch when towing or if 1,000 hp is too much for you)

Facebook Marketplace. Located in Halethorpe, MD

It's white, listed as 2004 Chevrolet Suburban 2500.

Says the swap was done by Duramax Specialties and it has an LBZ.

I reread it and it says it needs a few trim pieces and one heated seat doesn't work, so not perfect I guess. No leather seat rips or rocker rust though, which is pretty uncommon in gmt800 trucks in my area.

See if you can find it, if it's legit it seems like an cool truck. I love Suburbans but can't swing 25K for a truck at the moment.

Iโ€™m sure it will sell. There is a seat for every butt. That said Iโ€™m sure that is a tiny marker for a 16 year old SUV.

When I was looking a few years back I remember running across a 7.3 Ex that had something like 15000 miles that they wanted over $40k for. Sat at the dealer a long time.

If itโ€™s legit, you should have already bought it and make a bunch of money.

Seems legit. I've seen my share of scam adds, it doesn't seem to check any of those boxes. You never know though.

I don't have that kind of money for a 15 year old suburban though, or I'd go check it out.

There is also one for $15k but it is in rough shape.

$24K is a bit higher that a similar condition/age duramax pickup in my area (except for those guys who ting their trucks are gold plated). No one cares about suburbans around here, they all want them big dezul's to put 6" stacks and stretched tires on.

3/4 ton SUV's are kind of a niche market.

Maybe our definitions of super nice vary. But if itโ€™s actually in great shape, real duraburb conversion and not a sht pile of miles, Iโ€™ll wire you the $ and ship it here and make some money!

Before I bought my '09 2500 Suburban I looked at a few Duramax swapped vehicles that were in the upper $20,000 to $30,000 range. It was tempting but I just couldn't justify the extra cost. My stock 6.0 '09 pulls my 6,500 pound boat over the mountains just fine.
I can't imagine spending $60,000 on any vehicle, certainly not a used one.

The Suburban body transmission tunnel is too small for the Alison, so they chose to not offer the Duramax in the Suburban

The after market folks lift the Suburban body in order to stuff in the Alison, of if they retained the 4L80E/4L85E, they detuned the Duramax

There is a super nice 2004 dmax swapped suburban near me. They are asking $24K!

It is pretty much perfect though, I think the swap was done by the same company. Looks factory.

$8k on top of what I paid for my 3/4 Suburban is a tough pill to swallow. Combine that with the GMT900+ receiver limitations and low payload would not immediately improve capability.

That's a nice Duraburb, but the market seems tough for a $60k 15 year old vehicle.
