Adding 2nd air

Hi all,
I have a 2016 Dutchmen Denali 325rl.
It is 50 amp and pre wired for a 2nd ac unit.

Has anyone added a 2nd unit?
Any idea if I can tie into the ducts or if I will have to go un ducted?

Any input here is much appreciated.

I pulled the trim from the vent and it is solid braced.
It looks like I could drill a hole towards the wiring and I am planning on putting in a non ducted unit. This is the easiest most cost effective.

An easy way to verify would be to pull the trim ring for the vent and have a look in the cavity. If there's a duct sitting there waiting for a connection then you'd want to use a ducted AC. If not then you'd want a standalone unit. Most trailers that I've seen that come with a 2nd AC option are designed for a stand alone unit in that spot. Ducted or not, it will be effective with reducing the temps quickly.

I would caution against trying to tie into the duct system when it's not designed for it. A lot of these trailer have a duct system designed for one AC. When you tie in a second AC then the efficiency goes down as both ACs try to force their air through the duct work.

Had a second 15K AC added in the bedroom of my Cedar Creek 36CKTS.
Had to mount a junction box for wiring. Tied into existing AC duct work.
