Spring is coming. Punxsutawney Phil

It's official. Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow today.
That means spring is just around the corner.

I don't believe our elected officials but, how can you not believe a large rodent? ๐Ÿ™‚

Have 1" of snow thus far today in PA and expecting another 2-3 overnight. Then the coldest temps of the season (in the teens) this weekend. Perhaps Winter's last hoorah, I'm hoping.

Well, the rodent was wrong! I know he's in politics now! It's snowing in Indiana today! So much for an early spring!

Not true, rodents can't be bought.

Both politicians and rodents can be cute to watch, yet also incredibly destructive. Personally, I find politicians - especially career politicians - more like diapers. They should be changed frequently for the same reasons.

I just wish they'd be true to the legend and go by his shadow on the day. The whole thing about the inner circle meeting to tell people what he saw - when what he saw was clearly different - smells of diapers, er, politics.

Sounds like politicians to me.

Rodents, politicians, what's the difference? :B

I trust the Rodents farther than any politician that I have ever known! :B

You can't see your shadow if your eyes are closed!

I noticed right away this wasn't a popular news item here. I had to search GOOGLE to find out the results haha...

I also read the NATL GROUNDHOG in Canada passed away on 1 FEB I think it was... Was only 5 years old the report said...

We are still seeing left over snow from our big storm here in Northern Neck Virginia. I'm hoping this is the last bad weather we get until spring...

It's a clear day in Punxatawney today, so the real forecast would have been 6 more weeks.

Yep, and it's Pennsylvania. With or without a rodent forecast we still have at least six more weeks of winter.
It just gives us hope that winter will end early. ๐Ÿ™‚

:B Is "Phil" an elected official, or just appointed by the town council?

I'm guessing Phil (and all his clones) are appointed. If true rodents could run for office, I'm sure they would be in power by now. ๐Ÿ™‚
