Anybody used one of these yet? I saw them for the first time in the local farm and fleet store yesterday.

Looks like it's got a small amount of shock absorbing capacity for a trailer that chucks back and forth.

Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.

Still seems like snake oil to me.
Didnโ€™t or donโ€™t they still offer a cushion hitch stinger too? Where the pin block in the stinger is rubber damped?
I prefer not adding potential failure points to components. But thatโ€™s just me.

That's exactly what it's designed to do - introduce a little (rubber dampened) for and aft flex to things to help reduce the herky-jerkyness that is often experienced pulling a trailer.

I'm curious for anyones experience on this as well. I'm likely going to buy one for a small 1500# ultralight we have now that transmits a ton of aforementioned herkyjerkies to the tow vehicle.

The reviews I've been able to find online thus far seem to be overwhelmingly positive, but as with all things, I take them with a grain of salt until I see the same trend across multiple places.

Just buy a hitch with a shock absorbing shank. Probably safer than that ball.

Probably intended for hooking up some sort of tow behind with no weight distribution or sway control.
