Cell Phone Booster Antenna

I want to install a cell phone booster antenna on my travel trailer.

I do not have a rear ladder, and my TV antenna does not raise, so what are some other mounting suggestions please?

Thanks

For my Yagi I use a pool cleaning handle. It telescopes to 22 feet and collapsed down to 7. It's a bit awkward to store but super easy to deploy.

I have one of the fibreglass RV wash poles that colapses and I just attach the antenna with built in ground plane to the pole, extend it out and then drop it into a 3' long tube I have welded to the back bumper. then feed the cable through the window. I can either attach an omni or yagi directional antenna to the pole depending on how far we are from cell service.

I have seen them tripod mounted but wonder why (it was only about 4 feet off the ground)

Is this a TT or a 5ER

on a TT do a front mount.. on the Tongue clamp a piece of pipe.. This can be a short length of TV mast or any pipe of the proper size to fint either inside or accept the small end of a TV mast (I'd use the last 2 feet of a TV mast)

Now you can slap 10 or even 20 feet on top of that when parked
When "on the road" coil the Coax up antenna attached and store in the front compartment.. (This is often done by hams by the way) I'm not sure how much I'd like puttin it up 20 feet but shold work

I use a flag pole. park on base originally till I destroyed the base Now I rigged something a bit different.

Some 5ers you can extend the frame rail and do the same mast thing. Or a 2" receiver and a hitch adapter mounted piece of pipe.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

I went with the Surecall2go 3.0. Best reviews and so far works great. Cheaper also

I installed a 12"x18" 16 gauge steel plate on the rear A/C shroud as a ground plane for my magnetic Max Amp RV booster antenna. The plate is larger than needed, but it saved me cutting up a scrap.

I don't need a booster, just an antenna bracket

A word on the boosters.

There are a couple of good manufacturers and a boatload of people selling ****.

I worked with Wilson Electronics for several years and was consistently impressed with the quality and support.

I did especially liked that they build the majority of their product in St. George Utah.

I would definitely recommend Wilson gear.

Good idea, I can build a bracket and fasten it to the rear of the TT.

I much rather do that than cut a hole through the roof.

I bolted a Wilson marine antenna to the back, near the marker lights.

Picked up the mounting bracket and six inch extension from a boating store.

Depends on what the antenna looks like. I sit one on the roof.
