Instead of using those cheap plastic or flimsy metal chip bag clips, we use the binder clips found in the office supply aisle at Walmart. We buy the medium size, but once in a while a large one. They last forever and don't break or fall apart. Just an idea....

Wife came home with a bag of those clips several years ago. I don't know how many uses I have found for them in my endeavors.

They are also useful for holding computer usb/wires...

Get the size you want, clip it to a table top and run the usb/wire through the handle. Keeps them together..
