The glass doesn't crack it fractures in to beads, it really doesn't take that long for it to fracture, don't ask how I know. The positive side of it fracturing is if you clean out all of the pieces no more fogging.:B

I have the same problem. The seal is shot between the two panes allowing moisture in. I carefully and I mean carefully drilled a couple small holes between the panes on the end that opens. I then hold the hair dryer toward those holes and it will clear the moisture. The glass will be stained or etched but you will still be able to see out. It is a very temporary fix. I still want to get mine fixed or replaced permanently.

pretty simple deal really .like I said from the get go just hit it with a hair dryer till it clears(drys)
and drive her to the shop for repair no point in trying reinvent the wheel
at least that's what I would do

It was sealed
It isn't sealed now, our it wouldn't be fogged
There is a leak in the seal or a crack some place
It sucked in most air when the glass was cooling down
Which is why it fogs up

Can you rig a side view camera and connect to the rear view monitor
So you can sees down the side of the RV
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

If it is mineral etch (fogged), there is nothing you can do to clean it up. Both panes of glass will be etched.
If it is just wet between the panes, you can drill through the spacer and air dry it.

Glass is strong, so is heat stress.

Different glass under different circumstances and iam willing to bet there was a small crack starting on the windshield and it just got way bigger. Been there and seen that situation many times

it will a sealed unit dual pane window other wise it would not be fogged up

Would it be sealed, it would not fog ๐Ÿ˜‰
I ditto the hair dryer, but with caution as applying too much heat can crack the glass.
If you have time to wait, parking the coach with window exposed to sun will solve it after some time as well.

If dual pane you might consider separating the panes and removing one, or taking it to a glass shop if you don't want to do it.

That way you can clean the single pane on each side.

Is this a dual pane (or is that pain) window that is fogged in the middle or single pane fogged on the inside?

If dual pane, which way are you headed-- there are repair places for this in Searcy AR and in Hudson, FL just north of Tampa, FL.
