Who tows with a '13 or newer Ram

Sorry if this belongs in the towing section, but I'm only interested in how the newer Ram tows Fifthwheels. I'm interested in feedback of likes and dislikes. You don't have to list how much you're towing so we can keep the weight police out of this.

Not sure what your complaint is about truck sitting high in the back is about. From your loaded pic your truck is setting "level" as it should be.

The B&W is "HEAVY" for good reason.

You already have EFI Live, you should try it on an LML, before you give up and go Dodge.

Moved up from a 2008 5.7 Tundra to a new to me 2014 4X4 2500 Ram 6.7 cummins. All I can say is "why did it take me so long." I pull a 2014 Rockwood fully loaded it scales at 9.5K with an 1800# pin. Over 1,000 miles pulling with the Ram loving it with "0" issues. I had to raise the RV 3" so it and the truck would all be level going down the road.

Ron's primary maintenance headache with his Ram is probably cleaning all the Dorito crumbs out of the cab at the end of each day. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I upgraded from a 2004.5 2500 to a 2014 3500 dually when we upgraded to a bigger fiver. Our new trailer is 15' longer and at least a foot taller, but the bigger combo is much easier to pull with this newer truck. I love the engine braking and the smarter tow/haul mode of the trans. Even though we're a big dumb slow moving beast now, I'm still less tired out at the end of the day than I was with my older truck.

The creature comforts are incredible too. I can't believe this is a pickup truck.

We couldn't afford a new one, but we got a great deal on a used pickup at https://www.texasdirectauto.com/. It was totally worth flying from CA to TX to buy the truck and drive it home.

They've got a same year/model/configuration truck with 35,000 miles listed for more than I paid for mine new almost two years ago.

You may want to fix your post. You dont want everyone to think that you are always in Colorado. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am not sure what you mean? Does it say somewhere I am in Colorado?

Ron,

Do you spend all day "toking" or "towing"? ๐Ÿ˜‰ I believe they were jokingly referring to the availability of recreational grass in Colorado. Just a joke, buddy.

HAAAAA, too funny! Maybe that's why I am so refreshed at the end of a long day "towing".

I cured my 15's braking with the use of my MaxBrake from my 11. To date there is no better controller either OE or aftermarket. Truly seamless braking.

I used double back take incase RAM comes up with a better brake controller progtram. ONLY real complaint about my truck.

As far as the AISIN hunting mine only shifts up or down when needed.

Steering my truck has ZERO slop and tracks true with NO wandering. Comparing it to my Dad's 12 2wd Dually I think my 15's 4x4 steering is just as good.

2015 3500 CTD 4x4. towed about 9,000 miles with it. It replaced a 2007 2500 4x4 with the 6.7 CTD. Love it, best decision I have made.

What are the biggest differences you are seeing? I currently have a 2007 6.7L. Tows very well, plenty of power. My biggest complaint is the sloppy steering. Added a steering box brace which helped but still not good. Also upgraded linkage to the 2008+ version with little improvement. Wanders right/left on highway even when not towing. No play in wheel. If I could fix this one issue truck would be excellent!

Sounds like you need someone that knows how to align YOUR truck.
