Moved up from an F250 6.2 gas to 2017 Ram Cummins 6.7, Aisin with 3.73...yep...I'm hooked...awesome power and great ride loaded and unloaded. Only towed 100 miles so far. long trip this summer planned. The only two complaints, truck sits high in the back and the B&W hitch is awesome, but it is a heavy beast. ๐

Sorry if this belongs in the towing section, but I'm only interested in how the newer Ram tows Fifthwheels. I'm interested in feedback of likes and dislikes. You don't have to list how much you're towing so we can keep the weight police out of this.

I upgraded from a 2004.5 2500 to a 2014 3500 dually when we upgraded to a bigger fiver. Our new trailer is 15' longer and at least a foot taller, but the bigger combo is much easier to pull with this newer truck. I love the engine braking and the smarter tow/haul mode of the trans. Even though we're a big dumb slow moving beast now, I'm still less tired out at the end of the day than I was with my older truck.
The creature comforts are incredible too. I can't believe this is a pickup truck.
We couldn't afford a new one, but we got a great deal on a used pickup at https://www.texasdirectauto.com/. It was totally worth flying from CA to TX to buy the truck and drive it home.

Truck in signature tows GREAT in ALL highway and weather conditions. At the end of a long day toking I can still walk! Comfortable and quiet enough to talk normally even pulling 7 percent grades.

You may want to fix your post. You dont want everyone to think that you are always in Colorado. ๐
I am not sure what you mean? Does it say somewhere I am in Colorado?
Ron,
Do you spend all day "toking" or "towing"? ๐ I believe they were jokingly referring to the availability of recreational grass in Colorado. Just a joke, buddy.

2015 3500 CTD 4x4. towed about 9,000 miles with it. It replaced a 2007 2500 4x4 with the 6.7 CTD. Love it, best decision I have made.
What are the biggest differences you are seeing? I currently have a 2007 6.7L. Tows very well, plenty of power. My biggest complaint is the sloppy steering. Added a steering box brace which helped but still not good. Also upgraded linkage to the 2008+ version with little improvement. Wanders right/left on highway even when not towing. No play in wheel. If I could fix this one issue truck would be excellent!
