12V should be along shortly ,he has built some very nice ones . I too have built some from 2x6's ,and 2x4's stacked double , my son built the same only he went three high . They seemed to have held up well ,I have had mine for several years , I stained mine so they look pretty good .

Thanks for the compliment!

Built mine in 2016. I sanded them down and applied another three coats of oil based finish this Summer. They keep the rams shorter in extension causing the RV to be more stable.

Dude!  Don't you know that you're not supposed to lift your whole rig on the leveling jacks?  The sun might implode if you keep doing that!  ๐Ÿ™‚

Composite decking works nicely. My local lumber yard has scraps they sell cheap.

Use microlam, they hold together very well and very strong. Mine are about 2 inches thick with rope handles.

You can buy Jack pads as cheap as $20 on Amazon that are lightweight with good reviews. I am not sure you could make them for less than that.

Are you looking to spread the load or add grip to the jacks? We have a TT but have found cement sites tend to allow movement of the stabilizers so I riveted 5/8" horse pad to the bottoms of the stabilizers. It also covers us when we are in those snarky campgrounds where something has to be under the gear. Two have come to chastise me and after they finish the rant I tell them to look carefully. It is even on the bottom of the tongue jack.
