How to repair loose trim?

A short piece of trim is trying to come loose. It's a strip of soft plastic. I would appreciate a tip on how to secure it -- a marine adhesive, perhaps?

That looks like rv vinyl trim that tucks into a track. If so, replace it.

There are many types of adhesives. 40 plus years of boating here.

Whatever you use, do NOT use 3M 5200. That stuff is nasty. Intended for below waterline use & for things that will never ever, ever have a reason to be removed such as deck to hull bonding. Been there. regretted using that.

Get some 3M 4200, or similar. It bonds nicely to clean surfaces & makes a nice clean edge between surfaces by running an ice cube along the joint before the product skins over.

Wide trim like that is often stuck with 3M VHB tape, about 1/2” wide, one strip along each edge on the backside.
