Being new and the amount of repairs I've had to do already I cant see getting rid of it and starting all over. Although I'd love another 8' or so.

Im a firm believer in covered storage for boats and RVs in the south. The rain and UVs kill them.

Yup I'd agree it depends on how you store it and how you take care of it, and, where you take it. We park outside, but we aren't in harsh climates really (unless you count snow), and we wash it before and after every trip.

Mine looks in great shape after I clean it.
Inside looks brand new.
Although mine has been under covered parking since the day I brought it home.

1st - 2006 Sierra Toy Hauler 26' bumper pull that I paid 22K for. Had it for 2 years until I traded it in.

2nd and current - 2008 Weekend Warrior SLC that I bought in 2008 for 52k. Currently debating on getting rid of it for a 2018 Cyclone 45'. Only thing holding me up is the 77K price tag.

We purchased our current hauler in 2012 and it is an 11 model. We have had a lot of problems with leaks, tire blow outs, outside speakers rotting at the bottom of the speaker letting water in, replaced the floor from the tire blow out, replaced a section from water damage. Had a kid drive into the back corner on the interstate smashing the side and knocking off the ladder. My current back door has a soft spot in the bottom middle and now another leak from the light over the fuel station is going to cause me to replace another piece of floor.
Even with all that I don't plan on replacing it soon. I only paid $23K for it and we use it year round. Taking road trips (currently on a month long one with 3 ATVs), camping at the ski resort in the winter in it, guests staying in it and lots of small trips all year.
I keep looking at newer units but nothing is as nice as what we have with the lay out. We are pretty happy and now I can make repairs with little problems. Finding a unit with another king bed seems to be a problem and with the front bedroom and back windows open we can sleep with the ATVs in the hauler if needed with no fumes. I plan on keeping it for another 5-7 years then selling it off for somewhere around $7-9K. I am sure I can keep it in pretty good condition by then and my total cost will only be $2K per year and that is totally acceptable.

1st- 1 year (2003 21 foot WW bumper pull)
2nd- 3 years (2005 35 foot WW fifth)
3rd- 10 years (2009 43 foot WW fifth)

4th- Rent a pusher, VRBO a house, hotel... and put the toys on one of the flatbeds whenever we want to go somewhere. Not sure I will ever buy another TH let alone an RV.

Nice to have all your own stuff in the RV but its really nice to have it just picked up when you get home or stay in a hotel. Maybe when our last leaves the house in 8 years (which is when I will retire) but until then I love the flexibility and ease of just renting... Not more washing, upkeep etc...

Loved owning but now I love not owning!

Bought my first toy hauler in June 2008. Had it until October 2016 when it was totaled in an accident. Although I had been window shopping for quite some time not sure when or if I would have pulled the triger on a new one.

I have had my Fuzion 360 since Nov 2010. We average 30+ nights a year in it. I have no desire to get rid of it.

BTW - we have done 69 nights in our 24 in less than 2 years so I feel like I have a decent grip on my wants..

You might as well upgrade the truck now and then start saving for that fifth wheel. When we decided we wanted a larger truck camper, the F250 had to go and be replaced with something that could handle the additional payload. It was over two years after getting my 5500 that I could finally upgrade from my Arctic Fox to my current Host.

Agreed - new truck in the works for next year. Prob 1 toner

Well just got back from 14 nights in our 24 and while we love it I think we are going to have to upgrade in the future. Must have's going forward

Sep Garage ( muddy/wet dog and kid can come in through garage- all muddy shoes stay there )
Sep Bedroom ( tired of unloading the buggy to sleep )
Fueling Station (tired of 5 gallon jugs )
Built in Gen ( quieter )
LR slide ( tired of one way traffic )
WAY more storage ( tired of digging through cabinets )

Looks like a 5th wheel is in our future..
