Many NE Oklahoma CGs near lakes closed, rains, high water

Oklahoma has been having some nice moderate temps this springtime (highs in the 70s mostly) but it has come with a ton of rain. Over 8 inches in the last 30 days. Today on local news they reported that because lake levels are so high the campgrounds around Keystone, Tenkiller, Ft. Gibson, etc. are flooded and closed. They showed campsites under water. For the next few days, anyone planning to camp on lake shoreline CGs in this area should check before coming this way.

Many of the Kansas lakes are at record levels as well. El Dorado lake was a 1.5' from going over the overflow spillway. They are holding the water as long as they can to not contribute to more flooding.

Our early June trip to a COE park in Texas was just cancelled due to flooding. Received the email today.
