Anyone have any advice for a first-timer? Are there any hookups near Stead? Are roaming water and honey wagons available for dry camping? Are bikes recommended to get to the gates from camp sites or are there shuttles?
I'm sure I'll have more questions later.

I knew that. Saw something about the races and it's been on my bucket list since I was the races here in PHX 20 years ago. :B

Thanks, guys. FWIW, I checked, and there =is= dry camping on the airport with water and honey trucks available. I can tell you, after reading reviews on campgrounds around Reno, there's not many I'd consider staying at.

I think the closest rv park would be the KOA at Boomtown Casino off I 80 OR Bordertown Casino off Hwy 395. You would have to contact the reno air races to find out your other questions. Don't think there is any area for dry camping.
