89 to 2 west in Browning will be fine. The construction is past the intersection of 89 and 2. Actually 2 and 89 come together SE of Browning and them split again on the west side of Browning.

I wouldn't take 89 from Browning to St. Mary - some constructions and lots of mountain driving, including a pretty long, steep descent into St Mary. 89 is fine from Great Falls to Browning. Just as you get into Browning, you need to make a right turn onto 464 and take that around to 89 a little north of St Mary, then turn left on 89 to go down to St Mary - much easier, especially if you have an RV.

It's fine between Browning & St. Mary. Was there just a week ago. That was as far as I went on it, can't speak to the part between Browning and Great Falls.
