Best route Airport Pittsburg, PA to Bedford, PA

Would like to know the best route from the Pittsburgh airport (not towing).

I-376 East to I-76 South East (Turnpike)

OR....

I-376 East to I-79 South to I-70 East to I-76 East (Turnpike)


Was not sure how traffic is on I-376 through the downtown Pittsburgh.

Will take Option #1 around 9am.

If you can avoid driving during the morning and afternoon commuter times go through the city on I-376. Otherwise take the longer route on I-79 to I-70.

My area and I would use:

I-376 East to I-76 South East (Turnpike)

Less than 2 hours and 125 miles.

I would think that option # 2 would add a lot of time and miles... is it possible to plan the trip threw the city after rush hour ?

I was just on 376 a few weeks ago and it was fine... but then again it was 7pm
