I think of Pickles often since we got our Pomeranian ZuZu. She is definitely a princess (at least she thinks she is). She is a sweetheart but when she wants attention, you better give it to her or she will let you know. She can bark a lot when she's not happy.

Hi MetalGator you are not talking to yourself, I read whenever there is s notification but don't search this forum like I did the other one. I don't read anything but this thread. Before I read a bunch and learned a lot. I have been pondering since your last post, our motor home is the same age with the same tires. It got us talking replacing the tires before we go very far. We didn't go to Florida this year, we usually take 2 horses 2 dogs and escape the Indiana weather for a few weeks. This year we decided to stay home and save $$, which sounded good till we thought about new tires.
Thankfully the weather in southern Indiana hasn't been very bad, and my husband actually took early retirement so we hope to travel more this year. So far only 2 trips planned one close to home and we will ride in Shawnee National Forest in May.
We have a side by side (very handy on farm) I would love to replace with a golf cart for the dogs. If you ever need a stop over place just North of Louisville, KY just let me know.

Been really quiet on here. I hope everyone is doing OK. I have to get the motorhome ready for a trip next weekend. I am still debating on whether or not to get new tires installed this year. Tires are almost 7 years old but the motorhome has always been stored indoors when not in use. My mind tells me I should replace them but my wallet says to wait another year!
ZuZu went to the new vet on Saturday. I was out of town so my wife took her. She really liked to new vet so I am thinking about taking my other two dogs there when it's time for their yearly appointments. ZuZu is very fat now so I need to give her some exercise. She kept hurting her legs but I haven't seen her limping in several weeks so she is going to get a workout!

Our little Pomeranian ZuZu is getting her 1st yearly checkup on Saturday. She was due for her vet visit back around Christmas but every time we try and schedule an appointment, it seems the vet office is closed. We finally got an appointment for her and then the vets office canceled due to weather. It was basically just a rainy day. The wife has been wanting to try another vet that is closer to us so she got an appointment for ZuZu this coming up Saturday at a new vets office. I will continue to take my two boys (Pinto and Monty) to our current vet until something happens to them. I really like my current vet but they have gotten so expensive. I had to stop purchasing the heart guard pills from them because the vet's office had them marked up 50% over what I could get them for online. I don't mind paying a premium to support my local vet but when you have 3 dogs, this gets to be very expensive. The last straw was they gave us some samples of the medication for Monty to try for his anxiety when traveling, and they charged us for the samples they had gotten for free. For 3 dogs for their annual now costs us almost $2000. I am going to need to get pet insurance!
Monty just had his 13 1/2 birthday. He is still so hansom and gets along great. His little sister Lola has been gone now for 14 months and I still miss her everyday. Pinto is doing well and will be turning 13 in March. ZuZu is crazy and wants attention ALL the time. But she is the sweetest dog I have ever been around and has never met a stranger. She just loves every dog, person or other animal. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body.

When we purchased our motorhome in 2017, we had to order it as they had stopped making 2017s and were starting to make 2018s. The MRSP of our motorhome was $172,000 but we got about 32% off that price. The same model now in 2024 the MRSP is $260,000 and the show prices were only giving about 20% off. Some diesel pushers were marked down over %30 percent but the markup from just a few years ago was crazy.

Good Morning FOOFs
We went to the big RV show this weekend at the Florida State fairgrounds in Tampa. Every year I go, I feel lucky that we bought our Motorhome when we did. I could definately not afford a new one now. They had big mark downs on Class A motorhomes, however they are much more expense now than when I bought ours 6 years ago. I talked to a salesman and he said they were having to discount them more because of the high interest rates. My wife and I found a diesel pusher that we really liked but I am not going to pay that kind of money. Our Motorhome is within 2 years of being paid off so I am not going to get in debt again. It's still fun to walk around and look at all the stuff I can't afford. We always make a weekend out of it We stayed across the street from the fairgrounds at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel. My wife gets 3 free rooms a month because of the points she keeps on her players card.
I hope more of the group is able to figure out the new site.

Boy I know what you mean, Burch. I bought my motorhome a year ago and I was fortunate to find one owned by a couple who wanted rid of it. They had no lien on it either so that made it easier. They found themselves in the unfortunate situation of having to live in it full time and it's more of a "B." They loved it for travel but needed something bigger. And it was just down the road from me. They were asking a reasonable price for it but wouldn't bargain further on the price. Fortunately I could afford it. I had looked at a different manufacturer and the owner wanted $20,000 more for a very similar coach. I asked her why she was asking a "new" price for one a year old. She said, "Cause you have to wait so long for a new one right now." So she considered the "availability" to be worth $20,000. I was glad I looked at it, though, because I was considering that coach, but I really did not like it. I LOVE my Coach House.

Looks like they might have fixed my old rv.net login. Testing now.

I keep thinking I will get used to this new forum but I really don't like it. I used to frequent the other areas of the forum but now only come to this thread. Glad some people are getting new logins and are able to post again.

Good Morning FOOFs.
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and New Years. I haven't been on a trip in the motorhome since the first weekend of December when we had a long weekend in Jetty Park on the other coast. We are planning a trip superbowl weekend to Margaritaville rv resort. It will probably be our only time going there as it's very expensive. It was the only RV place I could find that had availability.
This will be the last trip we take before I have to replace the tires on the motorhome. I still have the original tires from when we bought the motorhome new in June of 2017. They only have 25,000 miles on them and the motorhome has been stored in an enclosed garage it's whole life so the only time the tires see the outside world is when we are using it. Hopefully it won't cost me too much $$$.
The fur babies are doing well. Pinto, ZuZu and Monty all had a nice Christmas. ZuZu is getting fat and Monty is getting old. He is old but he gets around really good and looks great. He has passed his 13 1/2 birthday in December.
Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm spending less and less time trying to figure out this new format. I was glad to see a post from you, Burch. . . . gave me hope I might find some "old" friends after all. I joined the Coach House club and they have two campouts a year. One was in September in Natchez. I had just gotten home from my summer travels to Indiana. I had to wait out Idalia before coming home, so I got home in time to check on stuff, unpack and repack and head to Natchez. Since I was never the navigator I thought (assumed. . . and you know what that means) Natchez was maybe 400 miles from central Florida. Yeah, that wasn't right. So I took three days to get there. Had a wonderful time meeting other Coach House people and enjoyed all the events they had planned. On the way back, I stopped in Zachary, LA, near Baton Rouge, to see Terry's cousin/wife. We used to stop by their place twice every year, going to/from our place in Texas. From there I came back home in 2 days. I spent the next month trying to trap the mouse I believe I picked up in Virginia in September. He was a smart one, but eventually I caught him in a trap, but he wasn't dead. I left him lay in the drive with a bucket over him and he expired by the next morning, so I threw him in the canal. I don't think I have anymore in there, but I cleaned and disinfected thoroughly and then found more places he had been. So everything is again cleaned and disinfected and no more evidence. I have a trip the end of January to go to Nokomis to the mother ship and have some window leaks fixed. Then in February and March I have campouts with the Florida FunSeekers, mostly made up of people in my community. Thought it was time to get to know more of them. I may have told you all this before, but I can't find anything on here. . .

So happy to see a few find this website. The only thing I can say good about it is......it sends me an email when someone posts, so I can find it again. My husband has retired and we are stuck at home with critters in freezing Indiana. Just waiting for Spring. I had to set up an new account so my name has changed. I feel like I have to post every now and then so it keeps doing it. I hate winter.

What a pain! I was never able to get my old RV.net account to work so I had to create a new account. Then, I couldn't figure out how to get to the most current messages. I do not like this new format but at least the thread seems to be intact.

Hi Metalgator 71, Yes it definitely takes a while to get used to the new format and workflow. If you haven't already figured out how to find the new messages there are two ways I use that seems to help.
On the new posts window, just under the words Unread Discussions, you can click on and display just the headings on the screen or click on Posts and see every post on the screen. I prefer Discussions as it's much cleaner.
Alternatively I also created a bookmark to the unread posts and put it on my Bookmarks Toolbar so I have quicker access. Link
As far as not being able to login with your old user name are you making sure to first click on RV.Net user button? From there you should be able to put in your original user name and then click on the forgot password link. If so make sure you check your email spam folder to see if the reset password link is in there.
If you're still interested in getting your old login back I'm adding the administrator to this response to see if he can help if needed. @evanseegmiller
