Hi All,
I'm curious to know how much people are paying THESE DAYS to have their roof resealed professionally on their RVs or trailers. I'm not talking about Do It Yourself....I'm talking about taking it to your local RV repair shop (or mobile technician) and having them do the work.
If you respond, please include the following:
- When was the work done?
- What state was the work done in?
- What type/year RV, trailer, etc?
- What type of roof do you have? (EPDM? TPO?)
- Did they just reseal, or did they have to repair damage?
- What product did they use? (ie. Dicor? Henry's? Heng's? Crazy Seal? something else? etc)
You can give the total price and/or a total breakdown on cost if you want.

If two years ago is close enough, I had mine done a couple of years ago. My roof covering was completely torn off and replaced in three days by a very conscientious and well trained technician from RV Armor.
They came to my trailer location out in the woods and did it right there on site. The cost was just a bit over $6000. I am completely thrilled with the work done and how the roof looks now. No more worry about leaks. My roof was a EDPM rubber roof that had had several coats of liquid roof applied with poor results and had lots of Eternabond tape at all seams. I elected for a complete tear off and recoat. I did not get a picture of the material he put down on the roof before the liquid part. It was some form of very strong mesh with a tight weave. The whole job was done in the woods in the upper part of Michigan during the late spring.
As you can see by the pictures below, my roof looked terrible but was not leaking a bit as evidenced by the condition of the wood after the rubber was torn off. I was a bit worried but knew I had been quite proactive in taking care of it for the past 17 years. I would have no worries about recommending this company if you are looking to repair your roof or are interested in getting the longest life possible out of your rig.

I wonder what that $6000 would translate into in our "new" economy, 2 years later?

We have a 35' fifth wheel and we just contacted them - RV Armor. They quoted $189 a linear foot, tear off of existing rubber roof is extra as is removing the AC. If you watch a video, their material bonds to the existing roof so tear off is not necessary.
