I’m thinking about making a purchase but have no experience with Aliexpress …Just curious when making a purchase if one’s credit card and personal information is reasonably secure??
Thanks

Never heard of it but this would give me pause.
Quote: "AliExpress is an online retail service based in China owned by the Alibaba Group. Launched in 2010, it is made up of small businesses in China and other locations, such as Singapore, that offer products to international online buyers. It is the most visited e-commerce website in Russia and was the 10th most popular website in Brazil. It facilitates small businesses to sell to customers all over the world. AliExpress has drawn comparison to eBay, as sellers are independent and use the platform to offer products to buyers."

Thanks for the sad reality check, their prices are so low, but as the old saying goes, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is..

You might consider paying via Privacy.com.
For those unfamiliar, this is a free service that creates a limited-use virtual credit card for you. The card number locks down to whatever merchant it is first used, so no other vendor can charge anything, and you set limits as to how much can be charged, and can cancel it after the first/any use. It is free because it serves as the credit card processor, so the fee gets paid by the vendor via standard cc practice.

I use it regularly, but I never click save card option.
Paying process is safe, no issues there, but if your account somehow gets compromised, it's the best to not have card info saved because it can be misused
Also I often use second debit card. Only load the card with the amount of money you need. You can also lock the card between transactions (i.e. if someone gets the card details they can't use it as the card is 'locked' by you)
