When traveling down the road, do most people remove the pads/mud sills from the landing gear or do they leave them attached? This is my first year with a 5th wheel. Thank you.

Mine stays on. I have never seen or heard of one being removed for travel. They aren't going to come into contact with anything during travel if they are fully retracted.

If they retract far enough, leave them on. Half of the pull-trailers need to remove them, but 5th wheels usually do not.

If those come into contact with anything when fully retracted you've got bigger problems.... as in the rear axle of your truck and half the bed will be missing [emoticon] [emoticon]
