Golf Carts in Galveston?

Are golf carts allowed on the streets in Galveston, Texas? How about the beaches?

Last year we spent a week in Port Aransas and really enjoyed driving around town and the beach in a golf cart. Would love to find another destination like that!

My question is, does anyone know of another community where campers can ride their golf carts into town, like they do in Port Aransas?

Over on Bolivar Penisula my BiL/SiL have a place on Crystal Beach and golf carts every where. Several rental places.
We allways use Paula's Vinyard simply because in laws place on a canal is right across the street.

I guess I didn't phrase my question quite right. I know how to google. I think people use this forum to hear the personal experiences of fellow campers.

"Google it" is my least favorite response to questions like yours. I usually delete them if I catch them in time.

I would be very interested to see more responses to this post as well. One of our first family RV trips was to Galveston, golf carts were everywhere. We ended up renting one and really enjoyed that. So much so that we came home and purchased our own. It would be great to find more destinations that are golf cart friendly or geared. Google doesn't replace personal experience.
