Has anyone successfully replaced the rubber/foam handgrip on the entry door handrail on their rig. Mine is worn and splitting at the bottom and I'm not sure how to proceed with replacing it. If you've done this where did you purchase the replacement handgrip and how much work was it to remove the handrail in order to slip the handgrip on?

This is what I used, http://buyheatshrinktubing.com/1-inch-25mm-grip-heat-shrink-4-ft-pc/. The 1" size slides right on, heat it with heat gun or hair drier and disassembly of the handrail is easy.
Feels good on the hand and is holding up well. I used black but it comes in many colors.
Based on the responses I've received on the Dutchmen forum I've elected to go with the kind of grip tape used on baseball bats and tennis rackets. Cheap and doesn't require any disassembly. Thanks for your responses.

I've not seen when you can purchase individually, but the complete arm, with new installed is not that expensive. If you really wanted, you could get old off, and then add a closed cell pipe insulation, or a steering wheel wrap of your choice.
