The problem is that I cannot duplicate it.
I don't get it very often and when I do, I can't not make it happen again.
IT needs an example to chase.
The occasional time I see it, I just hit the F5 key and it's gone.
I use:
RV.net portal
Firefox

If someone get's it repeatibly, give me the information and I will try to repeat it.

It's taking over 30 seconds to load "My forums" page.

You know it's interesting. I'm also using Firefox and I used to get the error repeatedly on RV.net so I switched to Trailerlife. It worked fine, almost no error for about 2 weeks and then the errors started happening on Trailerlife. So now I'm back on RV.net and the error rate is significantly lower.

I have to comment on the statement from IT about needing to reproduce in order to fix. I was in support for the last 17 years and received the same kind of statement from the programmers. The funny thing is most of the time when I could show an example, either by duplicating on my system or by them standing behind me while I was remoted into a system; They would merely say "hmm interesting" and go back to their desk. It was almost like they are just not believing it until they see it with their own eyes.

I think the answer to this is simple. You're going to have to convince the IT guy that he should get into RVing and that he can get lots of ideas from this forum. Once he gets hit by the errors a few times while trying to to respond to a post he's get it fixed. [emoticon]

Okay last thing, I've noticed that I seem to get the error more often when I click on "My Forums" then "My Posts" if that helps them to duplicate it.

I think it's becoming apparent they don't know how to fix it.

Perhaps or it's just an excuse. Standard debug techniques include setting up computers and the server to trace what's happening then they'll have all the information needed. We tracked down and resolved all customer reports and only rarely did we have any customer logs. rv.net not so much.
