Hope everyone is well. Question I have is do you have a bed cover, ( roll up like a Retrax Pro ) that " clears " your fifth wheel hitch as it's closed.

If so what type cover and hitch and truck do you have.

Thanks so much

I have a BakFlip F1 folding cover and a B&W 16K hitch. When hooked up, I can keep the tonneau section closest to the window closed so I can keep an eye on things. When not towing, I can close the tonneau fully. There's no contact with the hitch. If I need full access to the bed, the tonneau opens all the way and rests against the back of the truck. I hope this is what you were looking for.

I have a Roll-n-Lock retractable and it covers my Comfort Ride Hitch which is at it's highest setting without a problem.
Now with some Hitches you might have to turn the release arm 180 to clear, had to do that with my previous Reese 20K.

Tuxedo Low Pro, and the Andersen rail mount hitch . Had a Reese slider before that with the same bed cover . Yes it covers it nicely [emoticon] Wouldn't be without a bed cover when not towing .

I have a Truxedo rollup with a B&W Companion on a 2012 Silverado 2500. My only complaint is that the rails add about an inch of height to the bed sides and thus I lose about an inch of clearance from the bed sides to the fifth wheel.

Mine is F250, with Retrax rolling cover.

But I think they are all going to clear a cover. Unless you had your hitch head adjusted up above the level of the bed sides, and I don't think any normal setup is going to do that.

However, the release handle may hit the cover. Many of us have shortened or otherwise modified the release handle so that it doesn't stick up. This is something I would recommend on a Reese hitch whether you run a cover or not, because in my opinion that release handle sticks upward far too much.

Also, when I am not towing and the cover is closed, I use a bungee cord to keep the hitch head tilted toward the driver side. That keeps it from banging around while I'm driving, and also keeps it from tilting so that the release handle would hit the underside of the cover.

It all works together great actually. When hitched up, the rolling cover goes right up next to the pin box, locks there, and keeps weather off the front end of my bed and also reduces air turbulence toward the rear of the bed.
