Two-way cross Canada road trip

Hello all. We are planning to head across Canada from east to west and return. Starting in mid to late July and getting back to the coast by October. Plan was to cross the border at Sault St Marie late July and cross the northern US states to Washington before heading into BC. Going to travel hard to get there and then zigzag back while staying in Canada all they way. Anyone do a similar trip or have an opinion about travelling in Canada during that time of year? Thanks

We enjoyed our stay there on our trip from Glacier to Oregon Coast. Highly recommended.

Thanks. I'm checking the Canadian stuff and we've looked at the routing on 2 in the USA. We are planning on booking a week ahead through out the run as opposed to trying to book it all now. Any really great spots to overnight that anyone can recommend?

Going across in the States, Highway 2, sometimes called the "High Line" is great route, albeit 2 lanes, with many free camping spots in the little towns it goes through.

There's a special Canada travel section - with a couple of current 'what to see in BC' threads.
