Tide Pod

My Grandson put a Tide Pod in the toilet thinking that he was helping. What can I expect? Thanks

Most modern detergents are low sudsing.

In the past I've seen someone put clothes washing powder in a black and gray tank. Ever seen a dishwasher after someone put laundry soap in it.

Occasionally I still see an RV sailing down the highway with a nice trail of soap bubbles coming out of the tank vents.

No harm, as long as the guy behind you with the soap covered windshield doesn't catch up with you at the end of the day.

Worst case.. A clean black tank.
Best case.. A clean black tank.
Most likely case: You won't notice any difference.

Tide Pod is low-foam Detergent, Long term it might cause issues (If you used it every day for 2 or 3 years) but one pod will do no damage.

Thanks for the information and reassurance. He is old enough to tell me what he put down there so he is old enough not to eat the darn things! I agree, they should kept away from children. He got this off the top of a "to do" laundry pile. Thanks again

After the last dump I always put in two gallons of water and 1/2 cup of Tide. Let it slosh all the way home and leave it there.
Never keep a dry tank.

The more important question is how your grandson got a hold of a Tide pod? These things can be toxic!

Good boy....Tide Pods work great in black tanks.

The big problem with Tide Pods is that they look like candy and are often eaten by the little ones....Your grandson is a good boy.
