Heard on business news this morning that RV sales are booming. Good for the industry but possibly bad for those of us who are already finding it increasingly difficult to find campsites.
During peak season you can't even enter some of the National Parks w/o a reservation much less camp. Popular is an understatement. Worth the trouble to make an early reservation, however.
We always liked Goose Island State Park but beware of staying in the bayside campground (there are two options) as the salt air/wind can adversely affect the trim on your rig.
Agree with the posts that discourage your trip. Your safety is far more important than your sister's birthday. Get some experience with your rig (the TT/TV combination is questionable, IMO) and plan a summer trip. I would be hesitant to make this ...
