We are Good Sam club members and see that I can get a fuel discount at Pilot gas stations.
Does anyone also use the Pilot credit card there? Is it worth it , since we already get a fuel discount just using our Good Sam club card ?

The Goodsam/Flying J Card is actually a debit card, and you will receive an additional 6 cents off plus the normal goodsam discount.

My Good Sam Flying J credit card gives my 8 cents off the cash price on diesel and 6 cents off cash price on gas. I think it is worth it

Fly J is the highest priced fuel on the planet , often 60 to 70 cents higher than other stations . I drive past the Fly J at Ocala on a regular basis and just down the road a mile or so is where I fuel . Last Friday it was $1.05 higher !

concur about their high price. Get an Open Roads EFS card if you need diesel and save a ton.

If you have a diesel tow vehicle or motorhome, there is an app called Mudflap that can get you up to 30 cents off a gallon. There are videos on Youtube showing how this works. Last time I tried using my Good Sam card at Flying J for diesel it didn't work.

Pilot is higher compared to Bubbas Discount Gas and Liquor down the street. Every Pilot/Flying J I have seen is competitive or few cents cheaper than other brand name fuel nearby. You know what you are putting in your tank. With the no name discount fuel you are not always assured of the quality. Often, the no name gas is cheaper because the distributor sold him the sludge from the bottom of the bulk tank.

We paired our Pilot account to a regular credit card that pays 6% cash back. Combined with the 6 cents, it comes to 25-30 cents per gallon.

Dave must be the only person on earth that finds flying J equal or less than Bubba down the street. Just recently on I 95 I got fuel less than a mile from the flying J at a BP station for $.95 less a gallon + $.15 for using my BP card. Thats $1.10 less a gallon and BP isn't exactly Bubba. This DP holds 110 gal but it only had to take 10 gal to save $11.00. You try Flying J, Loves, ETC and see just how much extra you spend.
