Agree. New style Chevy 1500s look hot.
New Chevy HDs look like a fat Tundra and currnet HDs look like the family truckster.
GMC even with its very busy approach to the front clip style has this one hands down for looks if ya gotta buy a GM HD.

By 2024 they'll be passing down the new corporate tax that kicks in on January 1st, because corporations do not pay taxes, the folks who buy their products do.
That is so true. It is amazing to me how many people don't understand that corporate taxes are basically hidden taxes that make it easier for foreign competition to take away our businesses.

Interesting feature. Can't help but wonder if the truck records these numbers while towing for future reference by the dealer or other motives in the event of an accident.

The Siverado is pushing $62K right now for a nicely loaded LT, the middle-of-the-road on trim scale with gas engine. The transmission shop guys will love the 10 speed mated to the gas 6.6, at least they sure do with the 1500s, the Allison it isn't. The larger touchscreen and electronics shown are available right now in the 23 GMC AT4 and Denali trims, the AT4s start @ $82K with the gas 6.6. The 1500 ten speed is not what’s in the HD trucks

Interesting feature. Can't help but wonder if the truck records these numbers while towing for future reference by the dealer or other motives in the event of an accident. It would be pretty hard for most people to exceed that rating

All this recording gcwr issue will do, is potentially cause one to void the Warranty rating, if an issue is caused by overheating etc.
I can't think of one truck I've owned since 78-79, that have NOT exceeded the weight/Warranty/performance gcw rating on it at least once! My 95 CC SW K3500, I was pulling in a regular basis a 12k trailer, gcwr was 12500. I scaled at 21xxx once!
My 86 C2500 had a gcwr that was literally 100 lbs LESS than it gvwr.
Since manufactures do not set the max weight limit you can run down the road at, be it gvw or gcw. The only thing this feature can do is void a warranty. As long as it does not shut the rig down on a freeway or equal. Oh well!
MAYBE, it will finally get manufactures to let us know how aerodynamics, steep grades will effect the performance of a given rig too! Ie over max frontal area by 10 sqft, lower max wieght by 1000 lbs! If going up 30% grades lower max gvw by 5000 lbs.......

My thought too, when I read that, just another spyware for warranty exemption, when drive line fails.

I had hoped they’d clean up that atrocious face. They did, but didn’t improve it any in my opinion.
