Been a camper for a while, but relatively new to the RV style. 26" Class C (actually a Class B+). Pulled into our reserved camp site & set up. Slides out, leveled, water hooked up, plugged into electric (with EMS) and ready to settle in. Hotter than blazes so the air was turned on. After a few minutes we lost power. As I frantically ran in circles and turned off the air & everything else I could find the power came back on. I thought that's great. Then I looked at the EMS and saw an E2 error code. Open ground. Being electrically stupid, I thought good it foud the problem. All was clear and up & running. Turned on the air again and within a few minutes it happened again. Not knowing what to do & ringing wet from the heat I removed the EMS and plugged directly in to the power poll. All worked fine.
Was I just dumb & lucky or what. It was far too hot to do without air as DW & I are asthmatics & have respritory issues. It was getting later in the day & campgroun was full so no place to go.
Was this a totally wrong move on my part or what should I have done?
thanks
Our 2351D Phoenix Cruiser, Jack, has turned us from campers into RVers and loving it!

I am sure that there are plenty of people in that campground without an EMS , you will not be the only one ! Not totally wrong if it worked , but then I do not believe in all those gadgets

You were promised by the RV park that they supplied “good” electrical power. They broke their promise and, I’ll wager, offered no refund.

IMHO, you made a mistake and should have insisted that you be moved to a power pole without an issue or they have a repairman fix the problem at the pole. You chose to ignore the insurance you paid good money for and the consequences of that decision can be devastating (or you get lucky and they are not).
We pay for protection and sometimes that protection is inconvenient but you have to assume the worst and verify that the problem is your EMS (rarely) and not the campground power (often).

Thanks for your opinions, mostly. I did feel that many others showed no signs of having EMSs so I thought it should work without dire consequences. Guess I did luck out. But thanks to most of you I hope to be wiser than before. To those whose inept attempt at scarcasm only reveals your lack of knowledge on the subject I feel sorry and apologize to the reading audience for you wasting their time.
I did ask, because I was trying to learn.

Google what an open ground is and the conditions it can cause. Google knows everything.

Had to look it up, geez that is one grim poem Man, I'm glad you understood it. I spent a week many years ago dissecting that poem in a writing class to get it.
To the OP: My sarcastic comment was directed to Wanderingbob, if it matters. His comment reminded me of that line. It means you can better enjoy your moment among the flowers not knowing what fate lies in wait.
