I'm going to spend one overnight stop in Shreveport and Baton Rouge within the week. I would appreciate any recommendations. I would like to be near I-20 or I-49 in Shreveport ............. and near I-49 or I-10 in Baton Rouge. I will not even be unhooking the tow vehicle. Thanks

Paid ..... I'm looking to pull off the interstate and never unhook from the TT. Free would be great if it was legal. I don't want to deal with any law enforcement. ;-)

Most of the casinos in Shreveport have a dedicated lot for RVs but without hookups. Generator use is ok. Easy off on and free and safe patrols by security. In Baton Rouge I would go with KOA in Denham Springs.

I would suggest Margaritaville Resort and Casino. Big lot well lit Free. Shreveport

What is commonly called Shreveport is really Bossier City.

Howdy!

When visiting Baton Rouge we stay a the Farr Park Campground 6402 River Road
Baton Rouge, LA 70820. It a no frills Campground but in a safe area if you’ve ever visited BR.

I found this place with the AllStays Camp & RV app:

- County/City Park
Farr Park Campground
6402 River Road
Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70810
Phone: 1-225-769-7805

You can see the location of this camp here:

My current GPS location is here:

Lamar Dixon in Gonzales is off I-10 just east of Baton Rouge and has large gravel pull throughs with full hookups. When you drive in there is a campground to the right but go to the right behind the large buildings and you'll see the larger campground.
Also Cabela's also in Gonzales allows overnight RV parking to the right of the store.

Thanks for all the responses and good ideas. If I carried a generator, I would probably choose one of those casinos or Cabelas.

I believe I saw in another post that you were heading to Orange Beach Ms, thus you will be wanting to use I12 east at Baton Rouge. Near Hammond is Punkin RV Park just off I12.
