Vaccine effectiveness against hospitalization and death is much higher than against infection.
This is the exact meaning of vaccination

I have been sick twice already. I have the vaccine, but it did not help me to get the disease easily or not get infected at all

My covid experience wasn't too bad actually.
If i think of it now, i even feel a little nostalgic as i could sleep whole day long back then. At the moment i am struggling with the job and wedding preparations , so no time for much sleep. Funny story: i didn't have a clue how to propose to my fiancee and used this service https://www.topessaywriting.org/research-proposal-writing-service. Worked just great and of course she said -yes!

My wife and I both contracted covid-19 delta variant tested positive on 8/17/21 and both hospitalized on 8/23/21. My wife's condition was not so bad and she was discharged from hospital on 8/29/21.Now as for me, I ended up on as much as 13 liters(LPM) per minute oxygen. I guess I had it as bad as one could have it without going on a ventilator. I was hospitalized till 9/9/21 then moved to a therapy unit for 15 more days. I was hospitalized 3 more times due to long term covid pneumonia. Now I have recovered but I have ended up with bilateral lung damage or fibrosis bottom of both lungs. I am on 3 to 4 LPM which can run as high as 5 to 6 LPM if I do anything strenuous, probably for life.
We have actually gone boondocking a couple of times but due to my oxygen requirements only stayed 2 or three days. It just became to much of a hassle with the O2 having to be a constant requirement, took all the fun out of it. We did go to a full hookup campground also which was much better not having to run generator as much but still the oxygen requirement was there anytime we went anywhere.
I do have a plan for this coming spring, I refuse to give up. I currently rely on my Inogen One G3 when out away from bottles or the O2 concentrator. The G3 has a max setting of 5 LPM but it's a pulse setting so it's more like 4 LPM's so I intend to purchase a new Inogen G5 with a pulse setting of 6. I am hoping to be able to actually do some wondering around using the G5 and be able to get the O2 I need.

Just like the flu, feverish and aches and chills for a few days then like a cold that settled in my chest. Wife was not quite as bad. Then got the booster in March. We've been careful wearing masks and sanitizing all along. Not sure yet if I will take the next booster. Have diabetes, high blood pressure, a-fib, gerd all managed by meds.
My wife also has type 2 diabetes. Of course, she is on meds (after talking to a doctor, she decided to buy trulicity online and give it a try), but still, I worry about getting a shot. Two of our friends got sick after the second booster (fever, headache, weakness, etc.). We still haven't decided whether to do it or not.

I equate old age to be like México. The USA gets a cold, Mexico has pneumonia. Younger people get sick, the elderly become gravely ill.
To me there just isn't any benefit to skip the booster.
And I'm trying to line up a flu shot next week. The border area is reporting people are getting really ill.

I'll be eligible for my next booster on Oct 30. I'll get the flu vax at the same time.

We did our yearly trip up to Bar Harbor, ME and there were no mask mandates this year, it was busy with people from every state, Canada and cruise ships. For 5 days we dined out for every meal, went in and out of shops, touched and admired items without our masks and not washing our hands frequently and guess what happened? We caught COVID-19, with cold like symptoms, dam! We are both vaccinated and with both boosters and will return to masking and frequent sanitizing.
