We only have 114 miles on ours so we are fairly new to riding them. But as a 54 year old that hasn't really done any riding since I was a kid, I can tell you we are pedaling unless drifting down a hill. And when we get done .... I need to be holding the handrail when walking down the steps out of the camper. Seems my legs turn to jelly in no time on that bike.

Thanks for the insight. I'm almost same age as you, but have been riding pretty regularly since I was a kid. Yes, I know that feeling well of legs feeling like jelly after long, hard rides. Still have always seen biking as much better exercise than walking or running, as you aren't constantly 'landing' on your feet/ankles, so easier on them.
One day, we probably will transition to electric bikes. Not ready yet, though, because to us, it just feels too much like 'cheating', haha.

Well then I'm cheating. But still getting around on our ebikes. I'm over 75 and the DW is a couple of years my junior and we still like to ride through campgrounds, to the store, etc rather than drive. The ebikes allow us to do this at our own pace of exercise and exertion. As two asthmatics with bad knees we manage the best we can.
Our 2351D Phoenix Cruiser, Jack, has turned us from campers into RVers and loving it!

Hey, thats awesome! When I get to be your age (or probably much sooner), I'll probably be cheating, too, haha! And, by then it probably won't feel like cheating anymore.

We have two Surface 604 Shreds. 48V 20AH batteries. We can get 60 miles out of them. Our longest ride so far was 44 miles. Lots of ups and downs. We have torque sensors so power is regulated by pedal pressure. We usually ride in level 2 0f 5.
I can guarantee you that you will get a workout on a torque sensing vs cadence sensing bike. We've had other road and MTB's for years and use Polar heart/fitness monitors when we ride. We know how many cals we burn in 1-2-3 hrs on average. It takes a little longer to reach the same cal burn but it's not like we have to ride twice as far by any means. I would say maybe 20-25% longer to burn the same cals. We're both in our mid and late 60's and find ebikes to be a great addition to our collection. Hot days really drag on my wife so we can now extend our ride times since she doesn't have to work as hard.
We ride our ebikes in places we would've never rode our other bikes because just getting to those places was a workout in and of it's self.
IMO ebikes are what you make them out to be. Use all the power and it's an easy ride. Drop the power and you get a workout.

I was the originator of this post , we have had our bikes since June of last year , knock on wood , we have had zero problems with them . We use them just about every day doing a five mile post office trip !

Another one for the Lectric XP. We bought 2 of the XP 2.0's around Christmas time. Really just started using them. Had a few minor issues but the company took care of us right away. Love them so far! We ride them at home and on the road. A bit heavy so it is a challenge getting them both situated when folded in the truck bed but not too big of a deal. Also got a pair of the Jetson's from Costco for our 14 yr twins. They are designed to hold adults so I have ridden them as well and also no complaints. Much slower than our Lectrics but perfectt for the kids or anyone really who wants to save some $ and maybe pedal around towns etc.

I converted my regular bike to an e bike about 10 years ago. I found my self doing fewer rides because of a couple of hills.
Now I still ride regularly and get plenty of exercise.
The temptation is to go faster and farther and get the workout that feels good to you.
