I don't do a lot of posting, but do a fair amount of looking, but I don't belong to any RV related groups either.

We do FB for family - we do RV.net for RV stuff. That's about it ... we have one Website which we post travel info and wildlife images across USA. We don't really do social media on anything but those, unless we're looking for specific info ...

We do open Military campsite page if we are traveling.

I'm looking at a pretty "niche" line of RVs, so joined a group on FB just for the Coachmen Crosstrail RVs. It's nice to have model-specific discussions; and I'm finding the lack of complaints reassuring :-)

There are several specific pages for our coach. Those that might offer advice I warn new owners away from. This is because I have seen three coaches that were probably very repairable go to scrap when the owner took the wrong advice. There may have been more, but I don't read those pages any more. It is too sad.

I usually use this forum and several others when I'm looking for answers to some questions. But you are right, most people are on Facebook now. It is useful for me as a marketer, as it is profitable to advertise products or the company itself. Most people in my family and friends also prefer Facebook, so I can say from my own experience that forums are declining because of this

I dont think anything is killing sites other than people are sick of living life online kinda. Older ya get, a forum chat ain't the biggest thing on MY personal brain, I wanna live and don't care to share social media cause I wasn't raised social media too so???? Dino here definitely..[emoticon]... but key being, maybe the young'ins out there on the road that post every single thing which is normal in life HAS to be doc'd online as some kinda normal 'whatever thing' in life it will change....don't know, dont care moving forward actually but then that is generational thing happening?? maybe?? no idea LOL

Not only Facebook is killing that site, but also other forums and activities. Almost none of my friends hang out on Facebook. Usually everyone loves to watch movies. And I am no exception, especially after reading this . We usually get together on weekends and watch one movie of our choice
