Off this morning for a 4 to 6 week wander about BC.

Penticton to Kamloops to William's Lake, Bella Coola, back along 20 to Hanceville, south on dirt thru the Gang Ranch, ,Lilloett, Squamish, Vancouver, Harrison, Canyon for train spotting, Merritt for jam, Well Grey Jasper, Banff...plus any hot springs along the way. Taking the kayak....I keep saying fish, but....we'll see.

I run with VHF LADD 1 up, if you see us...give a shout.

Glad you had a blast, and thanks for letting us live vicariously through it. Be sure to take a few minutes to settle in before you plan the next one ๐Ÿ™‚

And now you don't have to take our word for it, Canada has plenty to see {wink}

And that's a wrap. Got home today, Thursday. the 22nd...with a major storm on the horizon.

If you find yourself in the north Okanagan the Superstore in Vernon allows a one night stay and has a free sani dump/water.

Safe travels....

No more snow, that's a good thing for a bit longer. Didn't realize you're a rail fan- you should swing past North Platte sometime where UP has a viewing tower.

Should I get the chance, North Platte sounds great! I am not a true 'rail fan'..I worked on a gang for a bit tho and uncles and so on were in the game, so..a titch, maybe. I like most anything that moves. Trains, boats n planes....

We are headed for the barn..albeit slowly...had a call from our houseitter...she has to tend to a dog....so, home the 22nd.

In the meantime...Kaslo in the Kootenays

And, if you are into history...buses, trucks, trains and a power plant, do some Google searching on a place called Sandon. It's just outside of New Denver..5ks up a good gravel road.

and..if you are mechanical/electrical wizard....this was designed by Tesla mid-century 1800's. Still runs like a clock, still produces power and feeds the provincial grid.

Even the snowy pics of Waterton are awesome. Sorry you had to head west early, hope it was a good visit.

It was a great visit. Had no idea of the fine little places in the Crowsnest. Getting off the highway and driving the alternative is sweet. We'll be back next fall for that and Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump and Stone Writing on Wall.
