FYI zantrex charger inverter in 2001 Discovery

This summer we found the source of all our electrical issues with the motorhome.
According to all the EXPERTS I talked to the coach and chassis electrical circuits are separate, but when the electrical in our motorhome failed 100%, I still had good battery charge but absolutely no electricity anywhere, When I changed out the inverter, everything came back on.
So all circuits run thru the inverter/charger.

Just wanted to pass along what I learned

WHAT failed 100%? 12 volt or 120 volt? If your Coach batteries were fully charged, NOTHING in the Xantrex would cause lack of 12 volt in the Coach. Doug

PS, I think you need to find different "experts"

NO, ALL circuits do NOT pass thru the Inverter/Charger. ONLY the 120 appliances that are powered by the Inverter when inverting are pass thru circuits. Since your charger system worked, your Transfer relay system in the Xantrex failed. Doug

PS, If your AC units and Water Heater(120 option) are THRU the Xantrex, someone modified the system or it was installed incorrectly.

With a Xantrex, it is called pass through current.
There are also internal glass fuses in a Xantrex inverter that can fail. They cost about $1 each.
