Solid Step Leg Adjustment

I just added a set of the Solid Steps to my TT, and my only gripe is how the legs adjust. That pin is a pain. Not a huge pain, but it seems like they could have came up with a better solution.
Anyone done some type of mod to make the pin some type of quick release?

We had the Solid Steps on our last RV. They were great but we hated two things about them. 1. when put away wet, we always had to put a towel down to catch all the dripping water. 2. We always were cleaning mud out of the "feet".

I asked him to do one thing and he didn't do any of them.

I'm enjoying my Solid Steps so far. The pins haven't becomes an issue yet. My only problem has been that top step. It is deeper, front to back, than the others and I still haven't got the hang of stepping down pat it when exiting the RV. I have a spot on the back of both legs where the edge of that top step has shaved the skin off of my legs.

I think it's a huge pain with a stiff back.

Dealt with it for quite awhile then finally filed the end to a point, much better.

Well made steps otherwise.
