I have a 2018 Bounder 36y ,it has a resident refer I was told that 2 of the 6v batteries would run the refer through the inverter and 2 would run the house ,now I need to replace 3 of the batteries I did 1 of them last year
looking at the wires they are confuseing
3 of the batteries have the neg termanal at the lower left corner and the one battery on the far right has the pos at the lower left

I wish yhere was a easy way to post pic.

So one of yours is sitting in there the opposite direction. That's no big deal. They are wired as one bank. The positive from each set is hooked together and the negative from each set is hooked together. Just put the new ones back exactly like the old ones are.

I'm betting yours is setup the same way my 2016 34T is, with a residential fridge.

Looking at the schematics that I have from Fleetwood your batteries are in a series/parallel configuration. Where the hot cables leave the batteries there is three connections on that post. One is the jumper from the other set of batteries. One goes into a 200 amp fuse then to the BCC. The other goes into a 300 amp fuse then to the inverter. So all four batteries are drawing to both the BCC and the inverter.

My fuses are located at the front of the batteries near the bottom.

You might go to https://www.fleetwoodrv.com/for-owners/support/technical-assistance and fill in the info. Make sure the Fleetwood ID as well as the Ford VIN is filled out. In the comments section say that you would like schematics for electrical and plumbing and what ever else you want. It will take 24-48 hours then they will show up in your in box.

While someone MAY have wired it that way (2 6VDC batteries in series for just the inverter and the other two for all other house duties, that is not how I would do it, though certainly not difficult to do.

But, due to Peukert's law, you will get more total amp-hrs of use from one larger battery bank than two smaller ones. Said another way, the higher the amp load vs total amp-hrs stored in a battery, the less total amp-hrs the batteries can provide.

To wore the 4 6VDC batteries in to ONE bank, you will wire each pair in series (to make 12 VDC) and then each of those in parallel to make a larger 12 VDC battery.

Plenty of on-line diagrams of this.

Take a picture of them with your cell phone and only do one at a time.
